Tina Louise, an American writer and actress most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. Her stage career began during the 1950s in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Later, she appeared in variety of Broadway shows before becoming the most famous on stage alongside Li'l Abner in. In 1957, she also made her debut album called It's time for Tina. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was as Griselda in God's Little Acre, a 1959 drama. The film garnered wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York during that time, becoming Lee Strasberg's student. The year 1964 saw her win the role of her life when CBS appointed her as Ginger Grant. Louise played a wonderful job juggling Broadway as well as Hollywood.
